Course information
This course is mainly aimed at residents in their late years of training as well as board-certified radiologists interested in updating their knowledge on breast radiology. Topics from essential basic information on mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast US and MRI technique as well as imaging protocols across clinical scenarios and symptoms to advanced applications such as automated 3D ultrasound, contrast-enhanced mammography and image guided breast interventions will be addressed. There will be a focus on multi-modality breast imaging case presentations, including a quiz session, as well as live sessions. Internationally renowned European experts guarantee for a high-quality teaching program.
Learning objectives
Following this course, participants will be able to:
- To consolidate knowledge on technical aspects of mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound and breast MR Imaging;
- To learn about different approaches of how to use mammography, ultrasound and MR Imaging, depending on clinical symptoms;
- To understand present and future indications and applications in breast imaging;
- To understand state-of-the-art reporting of ultrasound, mammography and MRI;
- To learn about image guided breast intervention.
