Course information

This course is aimed at senior residents, board-certified radiologists and fellows interested in musculoskeletal imaging. This intense one-day programme is articulated on imaging strategies for the musculoskeletal system, with emphasis in diagnostic issues and pitfalls, and impact of the imaging on patient management. It is designed to update knowledge on the role of imaging modalities and MR, in particular, focusing on bone and soft tissue tumors, bone marrow lesions, but also on joints (shoulder and ankle), and spinal degeneration, infection and inflammation. Renowned European lecturers will ensure a high-quality teaching programme, combining lectures and interactive cases.

Learning objectives

  • to learn and consolidate knowledge in MR protocols for common musculoskeletal diseases
  • to learn how to diagnose and manage bone marrow, bone and soft tissue tumours, and spinal diseases
  • to know the role of imaging in the diagnosis of shoulder instability
  • to be able to diagnose frequent causes of ankle pain on MRI
