ESOR Foundation Courses

CARDIOVASCULAR IMAGING ONLINE |  January 18, 2023 | 12:30 – 18:00 CET

Course information

This course is aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists interested in Cardiovascular Imaging. It is strictly adhered to Level II of the European Training Curriculum. The main purpose of this course is to familiarise radiologists with the latest technical and methodological advances and with a systematic approach to selected, timely clinical problems in Cardiovascular Imaging. The course will address six clinical topics and how they can be approached by modern cardiovascular imaging including Cardiac CT and Cardiac MR. Every topic will be presented by a 40 minutes lasting mix of theory and case presentations. Each session will be followed by a live Q&A section for interaction with the faculty members.

The ESOR Foundation Courses are intended to help prospective candidates to prepare for the European Diploma in Radiology examination. Attendance does not guarantee acceptance to take the examination or success in the examination but represents for sure a good basis for passing the examination successfully.

Learning objectives

  • to recall cardiac and coronary anatomy
  • to understand the role of cardiac MRI in the characterisation and differential diagnosis of ischemic myocardial diseases
  • to become familiar with the emerging role of cardiac CT in the management of patients with chronic coronary syndrome
