About your application
Questions about the status of your Scholarship or Fellowship application? We’re here to help.
At ESOR, we are transparent about our application process. If you need specific information about our programmes or your application, get in contact with us.
You’ve submitted your application- what happens now?
01
Your application is received by the ESOR Office and checked for missing documents. Shortly after the closure of the application process, completed applications will be sent to review by ESOR’s independent, expert Evaluation Committees.
02
The Evaluation Committees consider each complete application based on its merits. The evaluation process may take up to two months depending on the volume of high-quality applications received; please be patient!
03
ESOR’s indepdent, expert Evaluation Committees select their preferred candidates, based on the criteria outlined by the training programme guidelines, and communicate this with the ESOR Office. Certain candidates may be asked to take part in interviews at this stage.
04
After all applications have been reviewed and scored by at least two experts, the ESOR Scientific & Educational Director selects from the highest-scoring applicants based on geographical spread and gender balance. This produces the final list of successful applicants.
05
The ESOR Office pairs host training centres with successful applicants. ESOR is usually able to fulfil the applicant’s preferred training centre, and only very rarely assigns applicants their second or third choices. Chosen applicants are contacted by ESOR and receive an infopack detailing the next steps.
No changes can be made after the official assignment.
06
The ESOR Office informs all applicants, both successful and unsuccessful, of the outcome of the evaluation process by email. If you have not been selected, your journey ends here, for now… because you can always reapply next year!
