What to expect

This course will provide an in-depth view into modern state-of the-art imaging and diagnosis of (frequently missed) fractures, stress/overuse injuries, and of specific musculoskeletal regions : spine, knee, ankle, wrist and hand. There will be an in-depth focus on MR imaging of the menisci, on imaging of degenerative and inflammatory lesions of the wrist and hand, on spinal bone marrow diseases, spondylodiscitis, spondyloarthropathy, and on ligamentous, tendinous and osteochondral lesions of ankle.

All Foundation Courses are included for Premium Education Package subscribers.

The courses adhere to Level I and II of the European Training Curriculum and are delivered by renowned European faculty. Each session includes six topics consisting of 40 minutes of theory and case presentations followed by a live Q&A sessions.

  • to understand and describe the typical imaging features of fractures, easily missed fractures, stress fractures and bony non-unions

  • to consolidate knowledge about the typical findings of traumatic and degenerative lesions of the menisci of the knee, the ankle joint and the joints of the wrist and hand

  • to plan imaging studies of joints (knee, ankle, hand, wrist) and spine, and to adapt protocols to the individual situation for optimal evaluation

  • to provide a practical approach towards diagnosis and management of specific topics, such as traumatic, degenerative, and rheumatic diseases, meniscal lesions, spinal bone marrow diseases, spondylodiscitis, spondyloarthropathy, and osteochondral lesions of talar dome
