This programme provides a comprehensive overview of paediatric imaging, focusing on safe, effective diagnostic approaches tailored to children. It highlights radiation protection principles and the growing role of ultrasound and MRI in evaluating common conditions in emergency and outpatient settings. Participants will learn to recognise normal development, congenital anomalies, and key disease patterns across the brain, chest, urogenital system, oncology, and bone marrow. Emphasis is placed on identifying critical “do-not-miss” diagnoses, selecting appropriate imaging modalities, and understanding conditions unique to paediatric patients to support accurate, timely clinical decision-making.

This course provides a focused overview of thoracic imaging in lung cancer and oncology patients. It covers key principles of lung cancer screening, including criteria for positive findings and important incidental features to report. Participants will gain skills in evaluating cardiovascular findings on chest CT, recognising treatment-related complications, and identifying vascular emergencies such as pulmonary embolism. The course also addresses characterisation of mediastinal tumours using CT and MRI, and assessment of treatment response, including progression and pseudo-progression, to support accurate reporting and optimal patient management.
This programme will present lectures, case discussions and workshops on acute chest pain, ischemic heart disease and cardiomyopathies. International faculty members François Pontana, Federica Catapano and Marco Francone will lead sessions covering imaging strategies, CT and cardiac MR integration, tissue characterisation, clinical decision-making and multimodality approaches in complex cardiac conditions.
