What to expect

This course provides a focused overview of thoracic imaging in lung cancer and oncology patients. It covers key principles of lung cancer screening, including criteria for positive findings and important incidental features to report. Participants will gain skills in evaluating cardiovascular findings on chest CT, recognising treatment-related complications, and identifying vascular emergencies such as pulmonary embolism. The course also addresses characterisation of mediastinal tumours using CT and MRI, and assessment of treatment response, including progression and pseudo-progression, to support accurate reporting and optimal patient management.

Our Visiting Professorship Programme brings education and career-building networks all over the world. Check out the overview to find out when we will visit you!

Accreditation

Applications will be made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) for CME accreditation of this event.

We work with impartiality and transparency. Find the steering committee disclosure forms here →

  • To learn about cardiovascular findings to report on oncologic chest CT, including coronary calcium scoring and cardiac pathologies
  • To recognise imaging features of treatment-related complications in lung cancer patients.
  • To characterise mediastinal tumours using CT and MR imaging.
  • To identify vascular complications in oncology patients, including incidental pulmonary embolism and haemoptysis.
