What to expect
This ESOR Visiting Professorship Programme aims to provide an advanced, structured educational experience in cardiac imaging, with a particular focus on coronary CT angiography (CCTA) and its expanding role in the assessment of ischemic heart disease, acute chest pain, and post-operative patients. The course will also integrate the role of cardiac MR in evaluating myocardial ischemia, MINOCA (myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries), and structural cardiac conditions. Through expert-led lectures and hands-on workshops, participants will gain practical insights into state-of-the-art cardiac imaging techniques and their clinical applications.
The faculty consists of three well known European experts who will ensure high-quality teaching. The successful structure of ESOR courses by combining the lectures with directly related interactive case discussions will be followed even in this course.

Learning Objectives
Understand the role of CCTA and cardiac MR in the assessment of ischemic heart disease, including plaque characterization, stenosis evaluation, and functional imaging using FFR-CT and myocardial perfusion.
Recognize the value of a multimodality approach in acute chest pain management, distinguishing between obstructive and non-obstructive coronary artery disease.
Interpret post-revascularization and post-operative imaging findings, including graft assessment, stent patency, and long-term follow-up of surgical interventions on the aorta and heart valves.
Apply cardiac imaging protocols effectively in emergency and post-operative settings, ensuring optimal patient selection and accurate diagnosis.
