find the golden
esor owls
If you have reached this page, it is because you have taken on the quest of helping us find our owls.
5 of them have gotten lost in the congress centre during ECR26. But luckily, they have all left hints and clues to let us know where they have gone.
For each of the 5 owls you help us find, you get a chance to win a whole year’s subscription to the ESR Premium Education Package!
Below you will find the clues you will need to find each owl. Don’t put too much emphasis on their profile pictures — like a lot of photos online they might look a little different in real life.
JAC'OWL
As a curious an inquisitive spirit, Jac’owl loves new ideas and new faces – and especially supporting young researchers build their network and gain experience.
HINT:
I travel to where young minds meet,
To share ideas and take a seat.
I show the paths they never knew,
Find the lounge made for the new.
Owl'racely
Owl’racely is a truly international type. Travelling and meeting new people is her favourite thing. She loves soaring through the skies, and seeing how all the countries connect.
HINT:
With VPPs I roam distant lands,
And bring many cultures hand in hand.
The place where our journeys might intersect,
Is a village in which we all connect.
Pa'owl
When everything comes together, Pa’owl is there. He loves collaborating with industry and societies to bring knowledge and build connections. Because sometimes the best thing is to have your talons on the ground and meet beak-to-beak.
HINT:
Across many countries, I journey and teach,
Bringing workshops and lectures into your reach.
Grateful to the partner who made it all true,
Excited to share all this knowledge with you!
Owl'nya
Owl’nya can probably fly longer than most owls you’ve met. Once, she even went all the way to Hanoi. Mind you, it was on a plane.
Of course, one owl can’t do things like that alone, so that’s why Owl’nya appreciates it when she can get some support.
HINT:
Kenya greeted me for the first time,
A long-distance friendship; truly sublime.
A partner with vision made all dreams come true,
Seek out 507; that is my clue.
M'owlthias
They key to succes is good groundwork and staying curious. At least according to M’owlthias. Every year he practices all aspects of flying, even the ones he doesn’t use very often, because you never know when they come in handy.
HINT:
Strong foundations guide me, day by day,
Online courses show the way.
This partner’s booth is my domain,
With fellowships that bear their name.
