What to expect
The aim of the ESOR Tutorials is to further the experience of young radiologists, residents in their late years of training, and board-certified radiologists, through exchange and intense teaching in a model reference centre. This Tutorial is aimed at younger radiologists from Central Asian and CIS countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia).
The course will be taught in English and Russian.
Accreditation
Applications will be made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) for CME accreditation of this event.

learning objectives
To learn about the advantages and limitations of modern imaging techniques for abdominal disease including CT and MR
To solve frequent clinical problems in abdominal radiology by using various imaging modalities
To give advice for image interpretation and reporting of various abdominal imaging studies
To provide a differential diagnosis for common and less common pathologic conditions of the abdomen

Funding
Successful applicants will receive:
- Hotel accommodation for up to 6 nights in Astana
Applicants residing in Astana will not receive hotel accomodation - Meals (and coffee)
- Local transportation
- Certificates of participation
Please note that participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements to/from Astana, and are responsible for securing visas and travel permits.

Applicants must provide all the following documents as a single PDF file:
Letter of motivation
including a summary of their training background, areas of particular strength and interest, and a brief description of how they would hope to implement and apply their medical training
CV*
using the ESOR curriculum vitae template (.docx)
Documentation of recent board certification OR proof of residence status (download here)
certification must be no more than 5 years old
Letter of recommendation
written on institutional letterhead, from the head of department of the current training centre or a previously undertaken academic training.
English language proficiency
written by the head of department of the current training centre or a close academic tutor, confirming that the applicant is proficient in English
PLEASE NOTE:
12 places for radiologists from Central Asia (citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, or Russia) are available.
- Selected candidates may be asked to provide additional documents to the training centre for administrative purposes.
- Selected candidates are asked to apply for their own visas, when required. Please consider potentially long visa application waiting times when applying.
- All applications will be carefully reviewed by an evaluation committee after the submission deadline.
