This course addresses the need for radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians to deepen their understanding of hybrid imaging modalities and to strengthen interdisciplinary knowledge at the interface of radiology and nuclear medicine. It focuses on the appropriate selection, interpretation, and integrated reporting of hybrid imaging studies in oncological patients, including staging, therapy response assessment, and follow-up. By aligning with Level II of the European Training Curriculum, the course supports participants in translating theoretical knowledge into clinical practice, improving diagnostic confidence, optimizing patient management, and ensuring standardized, evidence-based use of hybrid imaging techniques in daily clinical workflows.
For one week, participants receive practical and theoretical knowledge and the opportunity to be integrated into the activities of an academic radiology department.
Additional exposure to non-interpretory issues of the broader culture of radiology is provided, addressing radiologic education, departmental work-flow, quality assurance or administrative principles and qualities. The whole programme is performed by renowned faculty including local and invited speakers.
