Visiting Professorship Programme

everywhere

The Visiting Professorship Programme aims to improve access to radiological training and educational resources for aspiring physicians and scientists from every region of Europe.

With this programme, we strive to ensure better healthcare for future generations in regions of Europe with less easy access to cutting-edge radiological education and training.

The programme consists of one-day educational activities delivered by three European faculty members in connection with national meetings of the ESR member societies on a topic chosen by the inviting societies.

To ensure you the highest quality, we aim to have CME accreditation for all applicable courses. Applications will be completed and appear over time  as they are submitted and approved.

This course is aimed at senior residents, board-certified radiologists and fellows interested in high-quality abdominal imaging. This intense one-day programme is articulated on imaging strategies for the most common GI diseases (liver, pancreas, bile ducts), with emphasis in technical strategies and reporting guidelines. Latest cross-sectional imaging techniques will be discussed regarding lesion detection, characterisation, staging and follow-up with radiological-pathological correlation. The most common differentials will be illustrated. Renowned European lecturers will ensure a high teaching quality programme, combining lectures and workshops, allowing for interactive case discussions.

Please have in mind that this course will be fully in French.

This programme provides a comprehensive overview of paediatric imaging, focusing on safe, effective diagnostic approaches tailored to children. It highlights radiation protection principles and the growing role of ultrasound and MRI in evaluating common conditions in emergency and outpatient settings. Participants will learn to recognise normal development, congenital anomalies, and key disease patterns across the brain, chest, urogenital system, oncology, and bone marrow. Emphasis is placed on identifying critical “do-not-miss” diagnoses, selecting appropriate imaging modalities, and understanding conditions unique to paediatric patients to support accurate, timely clinical decision-making.
